When manufacturing furniture for commercial spaces, the priority is different from buying furniture for a private home. Hotels, resorts, beach clubs, pool areas, and outdoor lounges need furniture that looks beautiful, but also holds up to heavy daily use, sun exposure, moisture, moving, cleaning, and constant guest turnover.
At Bukit Interiors, we have been producing and exporting furniture from Indonesia for more than thirty years. For commercial projects, our goal is not just to make the furniture look good when it leaves the factory. The goal is to build pieces that can perform well in real hospitality environments.
Furniture for Hotels, Pool Areas, Beach Lounges, and Resorts
Commercial outdoor spaces often need a mix of products, including:
Teak sun loungers
Poolside daybeds
Dining chairs and tables
Beach club seating
Cabanas and mattresses
Custom upholstered cushions
Side tables, benches, and accent pieces
These pieces are exposed to more wear than regular residential furniture. Guests move them around, pool staff cleans them daily, and the furniture is often exposed to sun, salt air, humidity, and rain. Because of this, the construction, materials, cushions, fabrics, and finishes all need to be selected carefully.
Why We Often Recommend A-Grade Teak for Commercial Outdoor Use
For hotel pool furniture, beach lounges, and resort outdoor spaces, we often recommend A-grade teak. Teak is naturally strong, dense, and well-suited for outdoor use, but the grade of teak matters.
A-grade teak is generally the best option when the furniture needs to be durable, stable, and long-lasting. It is especially important for commercial settings where the furniture will be used every day and where replacement costs can become expensive over time.
For some projects, Grade B teak may also be suitable depending on the budget, design, and intended use. However, for heavy-use outdoor hospitality furniture, A-grade teak is usually the stronger recommendation.
Solid Construction Matters for Commercial Furniture
Commercial furniture should be built differently from light residential furniture. For hotels and resorts, the furniture should have solid joinery, strong frames, and practical construction details that can handle repeated use.
For pool loungers, sofas, chairs, and daybeds, we pay attention to:
Frame strength
Joint construction
Weight and stability
Outdoor durability
Ease of maintenance
Cushion fit and support
Long-term repairability
Rushing production can create problems. For larger hospitality or commercial orders, we prefer to allow enough time to produce the furniture correctly, check quality properly, pack the goods well, and prepare each container for export.
Stainless Steel Hardware for Outdoor Performance
For outdoor commercial furniture, stainless steel hardware is often a better choice than standard hardware. This is especially true for pool, beach, and resort environments where furniture may be exposed to moisture, salt air, and cleaning chemicals.
Stainless steel helps improve durability and reduces the risk of rust-related issues over time. For folding loungers, adjustable backrests, moving parts, or outdoor pieces with hardware, this detail can make a big difference in long-term performance.
Cushions, Mattresses, and Sunbrella Fabric
For many hotel and resort projects, cushions and mattresses are just as important as the furniture frame. A teak lounger or daybed may look simple, but the comfort and durability often depend on the cushion specification.
We can produce upholstered cushions and mattresses using high-quality outdoor fabrics such as Sunbrella, along with fire-resistant cushion and mattress options when required.
For commercial buyers, it is important to understand that the cushion is not always a small add-on. In many cases, an upholstered cushion or mattress made with Sunbrella fabric, outdoor foam, and fire-resistant specifications can cost as much as, or sometimes more than, the teak furniture frame itself.
This is normal in commercial manufacturing. High-quality outdoor fabric, foam, upholstery labor, zippers, seams, waterproofing considerations, and fire-resistant requirements all affect the final price.
Fire-Resistant Cushion and Mattress Options
Some hotels, resorts, and commercial projects require fire-resistant cushions or mattresses. These requirements may depend on the property, country, project type, or local regulations.
When fire-resistant cushions are needed, the cushion specification should be discussed early in the quoting process. It can affect pricing, production time, fabric selection, and the construction of the cushion or mattress.
For this reason, we recommend that clients tell us in advance if their project requires fire-resistant materials or any specific compliance standards.
Finishes for Indoor and Outdoor Commercial Spaces
Finishing is another important part of commercial furniture manufacturing. Indoor furniture and outdoor furniture usually require different finishing approaches.
For outdoor teak furniture, many clients prefer a natural, super-sanded finish that allows the teak to age naturally over time. Other projects may require specific oil, stain, or color finishes depending on the design direction.
For indoor commercial spaces, finishes may focus more on color consistency, smoothness, and matching the interior design concept.

Our catalog shows some of our finishing options, but for custom projects, the best approach is often to send us reference photos. If you have a specific tone, texture, or finish in mind, we can review it and see what is possible with the material and design.
Custom Manufacturing and OEM Production
Bukit Interiors supports OEM and custom furniture manufacturing. For hotel, resort, and commercial projects, clients can send us:
Reference photos
Product drawings
Dimensions
Quantities
Material preferences
Fabric requirements
Finish references
Packaging needs

From there, we can review the design, suggest suitable materials, and prepare a quotation based on the project requirements.
We work with materials including Grade A teak, Grade B teak, woven rattan, woven leather, woven rope, synthetic wicker, mahogany, reclaimed teak wood, stone, and other Indonesia-sourced materials.
Lead Times for Larger Commercial Orders
For normal container orders, production may take around eight to ten weeks depending on the product mix and order size.
For larger commercial orders, especially hotel pool furniture, beach lounges, daybeds, custom cushions, mattresses, Sunbrella fabric, fire-resistant specifications, and A-grade teak construction, production normally requires more time. For these larger projects, we recommend planning for around three to four months from the start of production.
This allows time for sourcing materials, preparing frames, making cushions, applying finishes, completing quality control, packing, and preparing the goods for export.
Phased Container Shipments for Large Projects
For larger commercial orders, it may not always make sense to wait until every item is finished before shipping. In some cases, we can arrange phased container shipments.
This means containers are filled and shipped as finished products are completed. The client receives the order over time until the full project is completed.
For hotels, resorts, and commercial spaces, this can be helpful when the project has a large number of items, multiple product categories, or different installation phases.
MOQ and Export Terms
Our minimum order quantity is one 20ft container. The container can be mixed across different product models, which allows commercial buyers to combine loungers, sofas, chairs, tables, cushions, and other items in one order.
Our prices are normally quoted FOB from Indonesia. This means our price includes the product, export packing, documents, container loading, and handling up to the Indonesian port.
The client, their freight forwarder, or our freight forwarder can then handle ocean freight, shipping insurance, customs clearance, duties, taxes, and final delivery.
For payment terms, a 50% deposit is required to begin production, with the remaining balance due 2 weeks before shipment.
Planning Ahead Creates Better Results
Commercial furniture manufacturing requires planning. When a project involves A-grade teak, custom designs, stainless steel hardware, Sunbrella cushions, fire-resistant mattresses, and container-based export, every detail affects the final result.
The best way to begin is by sending reference photos, dimensions, quantities, material preferences, fabric requirements, and your expected delivery timeline.
From there, Bukit Interiors can help review the project, recommend suitable materials, prepare a quotation, and manufacture furniture that is built for commercial use.
For hotels, resorts, beach clubs, pool areas, and commercial outdoor spaces, the right furniture is not only about design. It is about durability, comfort, construction, and long-term performance.
